COVL X JOSIE THE ARTIST

I've admired D'Ana "COVL" Nunez's work for years, so collaborating with her felt full circle. After meeting at one of her workshops, we started talking about creativity and community, which eventually led to this collaboration.

What began as a conversation with COVL turned into a community workshop that I conceptualized and led during Suicide Prevention Month. I brought together a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Psychotherapist, Farmer & Community Builder, and Wellness Facilitator to create an open, welcoming space for meaningful conversations around mental well-being. With COVL generously providing the space, I also developed an interactive arts-and-crafts experience that encouraged attendees to slow down, express themselves, and leave with something tangible. Inspired by the loss of a friend, the workshop was created to foster connection, encourage honest conversations about mental health, and remind people they don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Beyond visual development, I led cross-brand collaborations and creator partnerships, managing projects from concept to launch. By aligning strategic objectives with creative storytelling, I amplified emerging talent while cultivating a more diverse and forward-thinking brand presence.

Luv Yours: New York Penn

2024 COLLABORATION

In February 2023, we launched Luv Yours, a campaign inspired by J. Cole that celebrates love beyond romance—highlighting friendship, family, collaboration, and the shared experiences that shape us.

For the 2024 edition, we partnered with product designer and illustrator Jus Blanco, founder of New York Penn, whose storytelling-driven approach to art reflects the layered culture and emotion of growing up in New York City. Together, we created a limited-edition tee featuring illustrated cassette tapes labeled with NYC boroughs—a tribute to the city’s diverse neighborhoods—alongside custom cement mixtapes embedded with a QR code linking to an R&B playlist curated by Jus.

I led the collaboration between Brooklyn Cloth and Off the Cuff for a community event hosted at the Shopify SoHo store. Managed the creative development of an exclusive co-branded graphic tee sold exclusively at the event, ensuring the design aligned with both brands while supporting a shared community-driven experience.

Latinx Heritage Month: Gabriel Pilar Para

For Latinx Heritage Month, we partnered with Gabriel Pilar Pala, a Peruvian-American queer artist from West Harlem known for his bold mixed-media portraits that center the BIPOC community. For the collaboration, Gabriel created a series of original designs inspired by his experience as a Latinx artist in New York City, focusing on mental health, resilience, and challenging stigmas within the community. The project highlighted authentic representation while using art as a platform for cultural awareness and conversation.
